Is this a real phone call?
No: it's a free in-browser simulation so you can see and hear what a fake call is like. It plays a ringtone and shows a realistic call screen, but it doesn't dial anyone. The Introscape app makes your actual iPhone ring, even when it's locked.
Why can't I hear the ringtone?
Make sure your device isn't on silent and your browser volume is up. The ringtone is synthesized and starts when you tap 'Start the call'. Some browsers need that tap before they allow sound.
What does the real app do differently?
The app uses Apple's CallKit, so the call appears on your real iOS lock screen, rings even when the app is closed, can be scheduled up to 24 hours ahead, and shows up in your call history. The browser demo can only run while this page is open.
Does the demo work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, the demo runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser. On phones it can also vibrate while ringing. The full Introscape app is currently iPhone-only.
